Throughout his 40+ years in the security industry, Kevin Dunbar has touched every aspect of the Dunbar Brand. In 1980, at the age of 21, Kevin began his career when he started as a Driver Guard for Dunbar Armored. Kevin’s career progression led him to join and eventually direct the sales team for Dunbar Guard Services in 1984. He successfully grew the Guard Services team and portfolio for three years before returning to Dunbar Armored in 1987. After serving in a middle management capacity for almost a decade, Kevin was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Dunbar Armored in 1998. After three years of delivering consistent financial results as the COO of Dunbar Armored, Kevin was named as President in 2001 and eventually CEO in 2003. Kevin’s direct engagement with all levels of operations, sales and customer service throughout his tenure at Dunbar Armored solidified his standing among business leaders in building one of the most successful American based, family owned businesses in recent history.

With the 2018 divestiture of his cash-in-transit operation, Kevin has focused on guiding and expanding both Dunbar Security Solutions and Dunbar Security Products as he continues Dunbar’s nearly 100-year legacy as “The Most Trusted Name in Security.” Under his leadership, The Dunbar Companies have evolved their offerings while remaining dedicated to providing clientele with a customized, high-quality experience to ensure that they receive the best products and services to protect their people and their properties.

As Kevin transitions from his days of leading Dunbar Armored, he continues to replicate his time-tested blueprint for leadership across both Dunbar Security Solutions and Dunbar Security Products. The critical component of his leadership philosophy is the selection of leaders and the allowance for those leaders to flourish with the correct resources. Kevin has worked to instill this philosophy by empowering Dunbar Companies COO Andrew Maggio and CFO Jeff Berg to do the same. He guides Andrew and Jeff to make sure that they are driven to select, train and guide their respective leaderships teams as well as team members at all levels of the organization. Kevin’s guidance to his Executive Team is to always make sure it’s about our people. “If we have the right people with the proper tools, they will serve our customers and lead our company to growth and additional resources to drive our people to greater levels of service and protection to our customers.”

Kevin holds a B.S. in Business Administration from James Madison University (1980) and an M.B.A. from University of Baltimore (1995). In addition to his role as President and CEO of The Dunbar Companies, Kevin serves as a board member for The Baltimore Life Insurance Company, The James Madison University College of Business and Gilchrist Hospice.

Mr. Berg delivers decades of financial and operational excellence to the Dunbar organization. Born and raised in Baltimore County, Jeff excelled in the classroom while attending Calvert Hall College. Jeff’s educational journey continued with an Accounting Degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD. Professionally, Jeff accumulated several years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm. Throughout his time in those roles, he honed his auditing and cost control skill set. In 2008, Jeff assumed the helm as the National Director of Auditing at Dunbar Armored. Jeff instituted a variety of effective policies which reduced the financial liability of DA. Given his successful tenure as National Director of Auditing, in January of 2016, Jeff was given the opportunity to transition into the role of Vice President of Finance for Dunbar Security Solutions, Inc. Jeff is a father of two young men, has been married to his wife Jo-Ann for 20 years, and is a lifelong resident of Baltimore County.

In 1997, Andrew entered the Security Industry as a Security Guard for his family’s contract security agency in central MD. From that starting point to today, his focus has been executing quality security services that enhance customer satisfaction. Throughout his time in the industry, Andrew has been seated on both sides of the table for multiple corporate acquisitions, large scale RFP implementations, as well as being at the forefront of developing operational efficiencies both in the field and office. Andrew firmly believes that, “Our goal at Dunbar is to provide our customers with effective quality solutions. Our tenured operational and business development teams work in unison to deliver a true boutique offering of Personnel and Physical Security Solutions.” In addition to his decades of industry experience, Andrew also holds a B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University. Andrew has served in his current role since January of 2016. On the home-front, Andrew is a proud husband to Heather, father of three, and brother to two members of the US Special Forces.

As the Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Dunbar Security Solutions, Sam Aldridge is responsible for the sales management and strategic growth of the Security Solutions division. A respected leader and highly experienced sales professional dedicated and skilled at developing lasting customer relationships, Sam’s primary focus is business development, new product development, customer relationship building and aiding his team of sales professionals. Prior to joining Dunbar, Sam had over 20 years of sales and account management experience with Travel Click, Enterprise Car Rental, and American Airlines. Sam is currently a member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International). He also maintains certifications in Electronics Security products and design. Sam holds a B.S. in Aerospace Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

Christal Clore is a veteran Human Resource expert, with over 25 years of progressive experience. Her passion is providing HR solutions for our organization by helping build an HR infrastructure through technology, compliance, and people. She has extensive experience in prior roles within the Hospitality and Constructions sectors. Christal holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and an MBA from the University of Maryland, University College. She is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). An accomplished security professional with experience in physical security and loss prevention as well as fire and life safety, Richard (Rich) Sullivan has over 15 years of security management experience. He began his security career as an entry-level Loss Prevention Team Member at Marriott International Headquarters and was quickly promoted to Assistant Director of Loss Prevention. In this role, he co-chaired the Safety Committee and co-managed the Floor Captains Emergency Response Team. Rich went on to become the Director of Loss Prevention for the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA before transitioning from the realm of proprietary security to the world of contract security in 2014. For the subsequent two years, Rich successfully managed sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic as an Operations Manager for ABM Security. In late 2016 he joined the Dunbar team as our Branch Operations Manager. Throughout his tenure with Dunbar, Rich has overseen dozens of successful site start-ups, supported the rise of two brick and mortar guard services offices in DC and Virginia Beach and facilitated the transition from a recent acquisition in the DC market. His primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staff development and disciplinary action, customer service, administrative duties and quality control. He also manages all necessary security licenses and certifications required by each state. Rich is a resident of Frederick, MD and enjoys spending time with his wife and two amazing daughters.

Russell (Russ) Beard is based at the company’s Security Operations Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland. A tenured manager in the security industry, Russ owned and operated his own IT Installation Firm, Chain Communications, LLC, from 2003 to 2014 and was Senior Technician for Dunbar Security Systems from 2014 to 2016, then was promoted to Director of Service & Installation in June of 2016. In addition to his time designing, installing, and managing high-quality installation projects for Dunbar Security, Russ proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1985.
